About Remote Control
Remote control allows our engineers to diagnose and fix problems without the overheads of a callout charge. Please be aware of the following practical considerations:
- Remote control of your computer is dependent on you having a working broadband connection and no viruses or faulty firewall software blocking remote connections.
- Remote support software will need to be installed in person by our engineer before remote support can be offered.
- Please note that some PC faults cannot practically be fixed via phone, email or by remote control, in such cases a discounted home visit may be required if your onsite visit quota is concluded.
Terms & Conditions
Services provided by SSIT
- The Support plan consists of home visits by a computer Engineer for repairs, maintenance, upgrades and support based at SLA agreed terms.
- Support can be requested by remote connection of which is unlimited but subject to our fair usage policy.
- A visit of less than 1 hour will be deemed to have 1 hour. All visits of over 1 hour duration will be calculated to the nearest half hour.
- Unused time cannot be carried forward unless it’s our fault such as engineer not available for quite considerable time or parts cannot be obtained before the time given elapsed within any particular calendar month.
- The Support Plan covers the consultant’s time but excludes any required parts, and/or additional hardware/software required for which there will be an extra charge.
- Should parts (hardware/software) be required the consultant will advise an approximate delivery date
